ISIS Claims Deadly Attack on Indian Army in Shopian

The Islamic State (ISIS) announced this afternoon that their men have carried out a deadly attack against the Indian Army in the Kashmir region near Shopian, according to Al Masdar news.

According to an official statement from the Islamic State’s media wing, their terrorists attacked an Indian Army post in Zainpora. Pertinently two Militants were killed in Awneera area of Shopian, who are associated with Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.

The group’s statement said they opened fire on the Indian Army post with their machine guns; this allegedly resulted in the death of a number of Indian soldiers.
The Indian Ministry of Defence has not yet issued a statement about this alleged attack by the Islamic State.
